India proudly hosts over 1,100 universities, 45,000+ colleges, and 12,000+ standalone institutions. Yet, in global rankings—whether it's the Human Development Index (HDI) or nominal GDP per capita—we still find ourselves behind more than 128 countries smaller in size and resources than us.
